The best decision you will ever make! The heart of the Christian faith is a person. Rather than a philosophy to adopt or a morality to obey, our faith is a relationship with a person. That person, Jesus Christ, claimed to be God in the flesh. His life and death and resurrection, as recorded in the New Testament, are the events we believe changed the world forever and we believe still change lives today. The journey of faith begins with getting to know Jesus and answering the question Jesus asked His first disciples, “Who do you say that I am?”

Jesus says in John 10:10 that He came to give us life, and not just any life, but life to the full! God wants life to the full for you, and we do, too. That kind of life starts with making the decision to follow Jesus.

Here’s how to start: Surrender

The Bible says if we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved (Romans 10:9). To surrender your life to Jesus means to:

A – Admit that you are a sinner in need of a savior. By nature, we are dead in our sins and rebellious against God. There is nothing we can do alone to bring us into right standing with God.

B – Believe in your heart that when Jesus chose to die on the cross as a payment for your sin, His death on the cross counted for you.

C – Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and Savior; publicly proclaiming that only by grace through faith in Jesus can you have a right relationship with God.

If you surrendered your life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, just now or recently, we want to know and celebrate with you! And, we encourage you to make your decision public through baptism.

What is Baptism?

Baptism is an outward expression of an inward reality. It is a way of showing others that you have entered into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and desire to walk in obedience to God’s will. The water symbolizes what took place in your heart at the time of salvation:

You accepted Jesus Christ as Lord (Leader of your life) and Savior (Forgiver of your sins).

You shared in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, illustrated through baptism by going under the water (dead to your old, self-centered life), then rising again (new life in Christ).

You were symbolically washed clean, and your sins were forgiven by his death on the cross.

We believe that baptism is an important step of obedience for every person who has accepted Christ as his or her Savior.
